Anneta Marlene Corbin

I am Anneta Marlene Corbin and I am so pleased to find this site and am seeing the work of so many fine artists who are members of this site. I am a member of the local Art Club and have paintings on display in their Art Gallery of our small town. Other than Typical Texas I paint Southwest Art, architecture and still life, using acrylics and/or oils. I sometime do Graphite and pen & ink drawings as well as photo restoration and tinting, [hand coloring] black and white photographs. I enjoy studying the various art techniques, mediums, colors, etc. of well known Texas artists and have attended workshops and/or demonstrations in and around the Hill Country area.
A native Texan, I have also lived in Arizona and California. I met my husband Gladden [a photographer] married, made our home and we raised three children and still live in Lampasas, a small town in Central Texas. Now retired after many years of fulltime employment, I enjoy having more time for painting and sharing my knowledge and love of painting. I volunteer at the local Gallery and welcome anyone who wants to come in and paint a while. I offer free lessons and lots of encouragement, especially for beginners or would-be artist of any age.

Latest comment Beautiful work. Like the natural look and the detail in the field of blue bonnets and the mesquite tree. Laurel Laurel Cyrene
Can you mimic the buttery sheen of oil with acrylic. I have some areas on here that need it ( the red window sills in light) but I can't produce it - it dries...
