Art is what lifts the soul. Art should speak to the onlooker to provoke thought or gladden the heart.
A self taught artist based in Buckingham, I was initially drawn to a representative style of art. Until recently, my work focused on caricatures, portraits and landscapes. In the last year I have become engrossed in the abstract and the interpretation of emotions and beliefs. I am a committed Christian with my art reflecting spiritual concepts and struggles. Caricaturing has been part of this process, although not primarily my area of interest, the diciplines of simplification, distortion and exaggeration have shaped my style.

My abstract creations are process based reflecting confusion versus constructed form. The struggle between the constraints and order of rules and beliefs contrasting with human desire and experimentation.” I am always looking to create a balance between the two, both are good and necessary for creativity to flourish.

My style concentrates on textures both visual and tactile, the fragmentation and repetition of simple forms to construct a more complex whole. I work in watercolour and acrylic ink mainly and I'm beginning to explore acrylics in depth.
I'm learning so much from this site and all the very talented people out there, thank you!!!
