I am so thrilled to announce that,,'Autumn Splash' has been chosen to enter ,,'Wildlife Nature and Native Juried show,,,,Beaux-arts, Brampton,, Aug. 31 to Sept 18, 2010.This will be my first juried artshow,,,It is very exciting, indeed..I am also pleased to announce that I now belong to a small group of artists ,,in the Headwaters Region,,,Our name is 'COLOURWHEEL.INK',our agent is my best friend,, Wendy McElroy ,,who is a wonderful inspiration for us ,,We have grown so much, with our love for creativity,and greatest respect for each other as artists,,and friends,, "You never know, what is around the corner, until you explore it"Wendy's phrase.. And ofcourse my love for PIL.it is a beautiful experience,,,.My theme for life. "You are no better than anyone else, but no one is better than you. Respect others as you would like to be respected.Be a good listener, and be giving of wisdom and Love.Do not wish your Life away, Seize the Day for what it is,,Tomorrow is promised to no one."Inspired by my Mom and Dad!!! We have two lovely daughters, two son in-laws, and a beautiful grand daughter. Art is my passion...I am selftaught and venturing into many other techniques! .Pencil sketch,is what I love. I hope in the very near future to show more of my art.it will hopefully generate a little more votes. Last fall, 2008 I received 1st, 2nd and 3rd place ribbons in a local art contest, which included both new artists and pros., so I do feel more confident now. I am in pursuit of a lifetime passion and I am starting to feel like I have been reborn!! Along with my love for art..I also love "older cars" In the summer, I drive my 66 Chevelle, mostly to cars shows and my Husband drives his 48 Chevy. Pick Up Truck...I am planning on sketching or painting both of them...We enjoy them so much and meet many great people on our adventures..I will keep you posted! Sincerely, Doris
