Lots of you good people have commented on my pictures over recent months, and I'm afraid life has kind of run away with me over that time, meaning that I haven't got around to responding to any of them. There are just too many for me to catch up now, so can I take this moment to say, I really appreciate each and every comment you take the time to make on my pictures, and now things seem to be settling down in my world, I will do my best to keep up, and make the personal responses that you all deserve!!!

'Born in London, I am a self taught artist and take much of my inspiration from animals and their antics.

Working in pastel pencils, particularly the Carbothello brand, I strive to capture personality and mood; in so doing I try to present a conventional subject in a unconventional way.

Many of my stock pictures are taken from imagination with maybe a touch of quirky humour, a pinch of fantasy or a large helping of mischief, my aim is to build a highly stylised and unusual gallery.

I work under the name of Dapplegrey Art to highlight my love of animals, particularly horses.

Much of my work comes from pet portrait commissions; nothing can compare to the exhilaration of seeing someone's delight at having their best friend come to life in a piece of original art.

I am member of my local art society, an occasional demonstrator, a craft fayre regular and have sent commissions as far afield as Australia, New Zealand and India.'
