when i was 20 ...in the local newspaper ...i really did work on nukes ...this was taken during training in the douglas aircraft factory in tucson arizona usa,,,,1958...did not fly an aircraft in the raf though ..i did work on high speed hsl marine craft at sea ..and took the helm once ...that was fun , 70 knots at sea was interesting too...learned to fly cesnas in civi street ...that was fun also...now i just draw and do shopping and chores lol...still i have memories of the gas chamber in basic training with bren gun practice and throwing handgrenades trips in shackleton bombers .....cripes it's a dull life now ...my son treated me to a cesna trip for about an hour i flew it around gt yarmouth and back through a storm at bungy, it was my birthday present when i was 65 ...that was fun too...art is still interesting though .....i did get to experience near misses with bombs during ww2 ...i was about 4 then during the blitz ...now that was interesting ...and loud ...pil and the emails from the art teacher in usa are just about the only contact i have outside the family now ..but some people dont have that ...so i count myself lucky .....john
