I have loved paints and pencils all my life, as a child my favourite pastime was drawing and painting, and being raised in the bush fostered a love of nature, ..however life became busy as I grew older and had family and I only had time to dabble, now I am a little older and a little more eccentric, I have time to explore all the idea's stored up in my mind- I have never taken lessons in art, I believe everyone can create art if they wish too, and art means different things to different people, I paint what I love and I love nature and colour, Natures butterflies/leaves/twigs/flowers/bugs/birds etc are all such perfect works of art- . I try to create beautiful art that is a pleasure for the eyes, it should brighten up a mood and a room, I dont like to paint the ugly side of life, it intrudes on our happiness enough without my adding to it- Art, to me should be always pleasing to the eye and the soul of both the artist and the viewer. . I paint for the joy of painting and nature and life provide me with abundant material, if my paintings project even a smidgen of the mystery that is life, and if they make someones day brighter, then I am happy-
I paint commission work and most of my sales are word of mouth, I have started painting peoples pets in fantasy situations and that is a lot of fun.
I love browsing this site and reading about other artists while I admire their talent and skill..
