I have always been fascinated with art. To be able to put a three dimensional image on a two dimensional surface is something that really takes my breath away. Though I have taken some courses at The School of Visual Arts - I attribute my skill level and ability to the fact that I was fortunate several years ago to meet and become good friends with Marcel Franquelin. A master teacher from France. It was Marcel who was able to help me to focus my attention so that I would be able to do the work that I do. I feel that I am still in the developmental stage and believe that the best is yet to come... It is a great honor and distinction to have been able to study with Marcel... I believe we will be friends for many years to come...

I'd love hearing from you all as to some tips when painting with oils. What do you think of this Abstract?
Beautiful painting, Bevie, I especially love the textures here, of the pretty flowers. I usually work with acrylics, but I have done paintings, using acrylic... view answer
