I have always been fascinated with art. To be able to put a three dimensional image on a two dimensional surface is something that really takes my breath away. Though I have taken some courses at The School of Visual Arts - I attribute my skill level and ability to the fact that I was fortunate several years ago to meet and become good friends with Marcel Franquelin. A master teacher from France. It was Marcel who was able to help me to focus my attention so that I would be able to do the work that I do. I feel that I am still in the developmental stage and believe that the best is yet to come... It is a great honor and distinction to have been able to study with Marcel... I believe we will be friends for many years to come...

Latest comment Such a lovely carefree painting, Julius. Love the relaxed pose and the tranquil atmosphere. Definitely one for my favorites! Cheers Glenys. glenys coleman

I wonder how many here struggle with painting animals such as horses? I am out of my comfort zone trying to do them...any suggestions other than practice...
Keep the feet the same angle placement as the pelvis or shoulder so they don't grow extra inches on the length. When you check, the lengths will be the same.... view answer
