Karen Wroe

I am a Visual Artist, turning professional in 2004 & have have run & participated in exhibitions, both in the UK & Cyprus.

Since 2007 onwards, I have been selected to particpate in the Paphos & Limassol Open Studies. This event takes place during the month of October. More details of this can be found on my website.

In September 2010 I held a month long solo exhibition at the Forza9 Gallery, Polis, Cyprus and in May 2011 I held a month long exhibition in Dinos Art Cafe,Limassol Cyprus.

My work is also held in private collections in Germany, Poland Cyprus, UK, Portugal, Australia, Moscow & America.

Working in acrylic on deep edge canvas, my artwork illustrates my interest & is therefore inspired by the Natural World. I also like to create hidden depths to the work. It has also been described by visitors to my exhibitions as having an Eastern influence.

My style is intended to evoke emotions & memories using colour, shape & texture, encouraging people to 'sit and view' rather than shock.

The vibrancy of the colours, the subject matter & the bespoke nature of my work means my artwork fits naturally into all environments, home & business.
