Mags Williamson

I'm Scottish, lived in London for 15 years, now back in Scotland. Born 1959. Self taught. I've always been compelled to draw and paint, it's just something I need to do, I love getting away from all the nonsense and getting lost in the finding!

I had a pastel paintings exhibited at The Chatelherault Arts Festival 2008 & 2009, two of my photos are in the latest Hue & Cry Open Soul 2009 tour booklet and one is in the cover sleeve for the latest Kung Fu CD issued April 2009 (an up and coming band from Kilmarnock).

I have no illusions about the quality of my work, I know I need to develop it further but I'm enjoying learning pastels & expressing ideas, though I don't have the skill to present them in the manner I would like! Constructive criticism is welcomed and will be devoured, especially on pastels! My other hobbies are photography, poetry and designing baby knitwear.

This site is full of fantastic work, it's very inspiring! I'm learning so much already! A big thank you to the creators of this site & to everyone who has left me a comment, your encouragement is really appreciated!
