A passionate artist whose work comes alive with creative freedom, Maria Aratún produces paintings of strong chromatic impact and fluid gestures, vibrant explosions of colour on canvas. The quick, wide strokes and intense warm colours are all tangible expressions of the pulses that live in the artist's soul. Aratún is inspirerd by listening to musical melodies and from existential reflections and recollections that emerge from within. The inspiration results in an original abstract pictorial language of deep chromatic and emotional intensity.

Aratún's canvases reveal their own force through painterly expression ; the bright colours, the various forms, textures and the density of the medium, pour positive magnetic energy onto canvas.
