I have been drawing,painting,putting things down on paper,and creating for longer than I can remember,which has been a while,apparently.I am self taught though feel that my work is only recently of a standard that I can be proud of.There is a need to create borne of necessity,self help therapy,or something that needs exorsizing,and with sometimes a love hate relationship for the creative process.From an idea,out of inspiration,or somewhere else,to making it real through visualisation,will,and ritual,a magical process in the true sense of the word.

Something that may come into mind and needs to be brought into the world. These ideas and images revealing themselves either as dream stills,or can be there when waking while the brain is still soft in its shell like a jellyfish of idea possibilities,or show themselves on the paper in front of me like automatic drawing and its when they take on form and expression on the page that I might take over and some connitation can be taken from them and expanded on to make the whole idea complete.

My work often targets human and organic forms,twisting,reaching and evolving out of and beyond their usual and recognizable limitations and perameters,maybe how a ghost may imagine itself if having never looked in a mirror,and alternate transitional and unrestrained states of being,body and soul being separate or disslocated entities.
