Having had a complete loss of balance following my stroke last year, I continue working to improve my balance and walking, etc.

Although now unable to play my regular golf, I realise how fortunate I am to have my interests in art as a rewarding activity and that, being retired, I can spend more time studying art and to improve my painting skills.

In this respect, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all my good friends at PIL who have given me their kind support and encouragement since I first joined this wonderful site.

Interested in art as a young boy, I was inspired and encouraged by my Father, Eric R. Farrow, who was an accomplished watercolourist.

My career has been involved in Sales & Marketing Management within the U.K. Food Manufacturing Industry, which gave me much scope to develop my art in product label design, marketing and sales promotion.

During the 1970's, I attended many evening art courses studying the essentials of drawing, sketching and oil painting. Due to career pressures and other interests, I did not paint again until my retirement in 2001, when I began watercolour painting at various art workshops and courses followed by acrylics and oil pastels.

Living near to West Kirby Marine Lake by the Dee Estuary, N.W. England, I enjoy painting scenes of sailing craft in addition to seascapes and landscapes.

Now regularly exhibiting and selling my work, I am an active member within several art societies. In March, 2009, I was pleased to become a member of the Oil Pastel Society.
