The artist, Peter, pictured with his wife, Sylvia, when competing in National and Regional Ballroom and Latin Dancing Competitions throughout the U.K. including the British Senior Ballroom Championship at Blackpool.
Now slowly recovering from my right-sided stroke in April, 2011, I continue to work daily endeavouring to improve my balance and walking with exercise received from the Falls Prevention Service Course I have attended also daily TaiChi Qigong with the wonderful support of my dear wife, Sylvia and our family.
Although now unable to drive, play golf or dance with my wife having been competitive ballroom dancing competitors for many years, I realise how fortunate I am to spend more time studying art and with my most enjoyable contact with my many artist friends at PIL
Having suffered some procedural memory loss since my stroke in addition to a loss of confidence in painting since that time, I have decided to go BACK TO BASICS to try to relearn my previous art knowledge from my art books and DVD's of my favourite artists.
In the meantime, as a Gold Member, thankfully, I am able to use my earlier paintings as my Avatar. My sincere apologies and thanks for your continuing support and encouragement.

Interested in art as a boy, I was inspired and encouraged by my Father, Eric R.Farrow, who was an accomplished watercolorist in his younger days prior to moving on to commercial art.
I was also influenced by my Art Master, George Ayling when I was at Chiswick County Grammar School (1944 - 1949)
My career has been involved in Sales and Marketing Management within the U.K. Food Industry which gave me much scope to develop my art in product label design and sales promotion including National and International Food Exhibitions.
For 10 years prior to my retirement in 2001, I ran my own Sales and Marketing Agency working in the U.K. on behalf of various U.K., Belgian and Dutch Food Manufacturers with regular visits
to the Netherlands, Belgium and France.
Living near West Kirby Marine Lake by the Dee Estuary in North West England, I enjoy painting scenes of sailing craft in addition to landscapes.
For many years I have been a Member of the Deeside Art Group of Amateur and Professional Artists exhibiting and selling my artwork.
Prior to joining PIL I was known as 'Pierre' or 'pierre-r-f' in several Internet Art Forums (including wetcanvas.com), a name given to me in my local French Conversation Classes also influenced by my keen interest in painting scenes of the beautiful French countryside which my wife and I have visited many times on vacation.
I am delighted to be a member of PIL, a wonderful website for artists.
