Retired Army and Dept. of Defense Civil Service. Served over 10 years outside the United States mostly in the Middle East. Currently occupying myself with family (married 42 years), painting and writing. A self taught painter beginning in 1994. I paint for the fun and self satisfaction so I rarely sell a painting. If the wife doesn't like it or doesn't have a place to hang it I will give it to someone or put it in the closet with the rest.
