Tautvydas

Tautvydas

, Lithuania
Creative work of Tautvydas Davainis attracts at once by abundance of colours and unexpected combinations thereof, by the impression of effects obtained from experimental techniques. These paintings are percolated with expressiveness, most of them can be even called shocking. Nearly each of them hides challenge. A challenge for traditional thinking, challenge for everyday life, monotony and tedium.
Each painting by Tautvydas hides in itself a secret or intrigue that must be cleared out by the spectator. "A painting is a certain energetic cluster. It spreads something that may be called a part of the spirit of the author" – says Tautvydas. Metaphysic objects and phenomena, Oriental philosophy that are of the interest of the author are revealed especially distinctly.

Latest comment Good surreal. Very fine idea. I think about Felini's films. This one picture is a thrue story. I like it a lot! Przemila Koscielna
