Born in 1946, Tom's childhood was centered in the small town of Scottsburg, Indiana. Outdoor activities fishing, hunting, canoeing and camping were most important to Tom and instilled an ever present respect for nature. "My dad loved to take us fishing. Little did I know his love of nature would be past on to me." Tom's paintings are deeply rooted in those images and experiences of childhood. He expresses a peace and beauty of nature he finds today, reflecting those of his youth. Tom's interest in art has lasted a lifetime. From the early experiences in school to the present he has always found visual expression most worthy of his time. "Representational painting helps me express a feeling or mood enhanced by the facets of the medium."

Latest comment I really like this Tom, it feels like a lead into a fairy tale. The Hobbit or Narnia! Looks like it was done by an old master. Congratulations elena mendoza

I cannot think of a suitable title. Any suggestions please? Thank you everybody for all the suggestions. I've decided on Solitude as that is the most popular.
