Hi Sandra, oh, please don,t give up on your art, why don,t you try putting it in the Pool, it gives it an extra boost, because I think sometimes it goes off quickly before anyone actually sees it, you could try anyway, but if that doesn,t work, and you think it,s a waste of money then that,s up to you, but personally, I really like your paintings, and I think I have voted for most of them, it really upsets me to think that people don,t vote, and I can,t see why, but that,s the way it is sometimes I suppose. I,m so sorry you have hurt your hip, that must be so painful, you will just have to rest it or go to the doctors and get some really strong painkillers, perhaps you have a weekness there, but it,s like you are getting all this bad luck and you don,t deserve it, you are such a lovely person, I really hope you get better soon, and keep painting and drawing if you can when you are better, I will speak to you soon, take care, lots of love Brenda xxx.

Hello Sandra, Beautiful drawing with wonderful detail throughout. Very well rendered, dear. Sorry that I haven't been in touch lately. My Mom has moved to a Nursing Home, and she absolutely loves it. I had been so worried about the whole move. We have been emptying her apartment over three weekends , and in the process I got very sick with severe broncitus. I'm just starting to feel better this week. Hope that you are doing well. Take care , dear. Warmest wishes, Sincerely, Doris

Hi Sandra...so glad we have got a special group for it! I follow a lot of members and many of them follow me back, and then if I have any free time I will look and see what my followers have been uploading recently and also those I am following...you might find that exposes your own uploads more. Unfortunately I no longer have the time to make a return comment on the thumbnail of all those who comment on mine, but that is also one way of exposing your own work to others...all takes a lot of time away from actually painting, LOL..but quite motivational I find.

Hi Sandra, I've just started a new group for dark or disturbing paintings and this certainly disturbs me so I would love you to join

Hi, Brenda, I really like this. I love the way the thick colours 'melt' into each other and create that wonderful red appearance. It's a real relaxed, laid back painting. And I love Dan's lovely, long hair! Great work. Thanks so much for your email, I'll answer soon. Love, Sandra xxx

Hi, Brenda, thank you so much for your lovely comments. That keeps me positive and wanting to keep going! These two will probably be the only comments I get, so whether I'll ever bother with PIL again, I don't know, what's the point! Thank you for your email, I'll answer it soon. I went and put my hip out a couple of days ago and am in agony. All I did was push a drawer shut, simple as that! It's hard to move or walk but I'm forcing myself. I'm more annoyed I can't do my art when the creative urge takes me, but hopefully it'll ease off soon. I hope you're well. Take care, Lots of love, Sandra xxx

Hello, Doris, thank you for your kind comments. I've started a theme on the American Wild West and want to do as many pictures of cowboys/cowgirls, etc., as I can. See how long that lasts! I framed this and gave it to my mom to hang on the wall. Sometimes, something personal like that means much more than earning thousands from it. I'm sorry you've been ill with severe bronchitis, that must have been awful for you. I do hope you are soon completely over it, though that will knock you about. Worrying about your mom hasn't helped either, but I'm so glad she has settled into the nursing home. You must be relieved now. Don't worry about not being in touch. I should have answered your FB message, actually, but have been unwell myself with bad M.E. symptoms and depression, and some personal problems. So, I'm sorry about that. You take care, look after yourself, and get well very soon. All the best, Sandra.

Brilliant painting, Brenda. You bring out his personality perfectly. Lovely blends and tones of colour. The style reminds me of me mate Van Gogh! I did send you an email a few days ago. I hope you're well. Love, Sandra xxx

Thank you, Nancy. Much appreciated. Only, it's not a bird, it's a person. But, no worries. I admit, it's pretty cryptic. All the best, Sandra.

Thank you so much, Hilary. I had no comments on this pastel painting until I put in in The Pool. Maybe because it looks a little disturbing, it puts people off. But, it's meant to be dark. The subject matter is very personal. Art isn't all bright and cheerful, real artists should know that! I appreciate your invite to your group and have accepted. Cheers! Sandra.

As an amateur (me) exploration of various ideas/styles in oils is a temptation. Or should one stick purposefully to one path?
Thgis face is awesome dear Philip. Quite different from painting everything very smooth as a classical portrait. But I also think an Artist must try different... view answer
