Excellent detail and I like this scene a lot.. Your talent shines! Can I ask do you layer your colors or just work a wash? great job!!

I just paint with the lightest color then go over it to darken and shade with washes of darker color.

An amazing painting. From a distance looks like a photograph! Really wide open spaced and great painting of the aeroplane, on ski's.Emminates a feeling of Wide open Spaces. The ripples on the water and texture of the sand is realistic, and the plane superb, with detail! 5***** Regards Angela

For someone who just started to paint , I got to say WOW you are a truely amazing artist. I have painted for a few years, self thought , and love the calming I get from putting thoughts on a canvas. Your work is wonderful, keep up the great painting.

I think the treeline competes with the airplane, but the painting itself, and your technique, is very VERY good! :)

Artist Statement
for Robert Hadfield
Robert HadfieldI am new to painting. I retired in 2007 and started painting in March of 2009.
Bought a lot of books and have been having a lot of fun. Paint one or two a day and am on (hopefully) a good learning curve.I paint from pictures I have taken during my life in Alaska.
