Wow Susan...I am always impressed with people who paint "out of their heads"...I have no imagination...lol. These look like giant redwoods...are they?? Great work :D
Lovely atmospheric painting.I feel I could just walk into the sunlight.I like to paint from my imagination sometimes,It gives me a great sense of freedom of expression.
This has warmth, and is masterfully done. The texture in the trees, the contrast and depth all make for this outstanding composition. I WISH I could paint landscapes like this!!
This picture makes me want to just keep walking and see what is ahead. You did a beautiful job especially on the undergrowth. Blessings as you proceed with what looks to be a wonderful gift.

I am located in Ontario, West of Toronto. I have been using oils now for about 6 years. Just dabbing in them from time to time. Now I am semi retired and looking to see if I have it to move on!
Best wishes!
