Pure romance,my dear friend Rene! Such subtle kiss and wonderful atmosphere! Love bright sky and music in water! Excellent composition and colors,my dear!Very clear work! Bravo! My stars are on your beautiful sky!Big hugs,Ankica
Thanks so much, dear Ankica! I treasure your beautiful and descriptive words - you're so very kind! I am sending many Valentine's hugs and kisses your way!
Hi Rene, there is a beautiful atmosphere about this picture. Obviously, there is the romantic element but I think the harmony created by your wonderful use of colour and tone really make this happen. I can almost remember moments like this myself.....Les
Thank you so much, Charleen! We've been there, and it is truly beautiful, right on the sea, historic, tropical and romantic! Hope you visit there someday. Many Valentines hugs to you!!!
Hi Rene - We are both seascaping! Love the tower and lovers and entire scene. It IS a Rene. I think the hard thing with seascapes is to make it look like you or I painted it. Mine seem to take on a slightly surreal aspect, and I don't actually try to do that. So I will try and go with the fantasy ... Are you going to do some more? This could be a series - you've got such a wonderful theme started. Lettie has lost some weight - and is happoer because of it. Catch you soon, Big Hug, Mike
hello Rene ,first of all i feel in this painting that you just had alot of fun doing it ......second there is a good feeling in this painting with some nice color . so what does this all add up to be ... drum roll please - -- --- a 5* for you and a wonderful job . have a great day .mike
Michael, thank you for your fantabulous comment, and yes, it was great fun to paint! Of course, now I look and see my mistakes, but I'm glad it brought some joy too. Wish you lots of hugs for Valentines' Day, Rene
Hi Rene,I did not know the seascape was on the popular (lah de Lah) page. Actually, it is nice to get this encouragement because outside of flowers and birds, I have not painted many other subjects. I always laugh because Gary Jenkins told me "You think we artists know what we are doing; but we really don't" I know he does, but heartening advice. Enjoy Avatar ... I will get back and tell you of another series you may enjoy. Hug Mike

I have always been passionate about art -- but am something of a "late bloomer." I took one drawing class and one watercolor class after my son left for college five years ago. Because school no longer appeals to me, I continue to learn from books, magazines, websites, art fairs and the examples of others (like you!). The need to create and share drives me on, and I cherish this site and all its participants.
