Studied art at the WERKKUNST SCHULE WUPPERTAL, mainly with Professor Rudolf Schoofs for 4 years, annual nature studies in the South of France with R. Schoofs.One year Rietveld Akademie Amsterdam, NL.
Toured and recorded(7LPs/CDs)from 1970-1977 with the progressive German Rockband HOELDERLIN.
Exhibiting since 1970,(more then 300 exhibitions in Europe,North America).
Art Fairs: Art Cologne, Art Karlsruhe, Art Frankfurt, Strassbourg Artfair, Artmarket Dresden and Duesseldorf, Art Bodensee.

Christian is also an art teacher since more then 30 years. He taught for many years at the famous Folkwang Schule, Essen, Germany. Also at international art teacher meetings, gave numerous workshops in Austria, Switzerland, USA, Canada, Germany and is leading art projects with older teenagers with severe problems in an special school for kids with special needs..
Christian loves to paint backstage paintings, creates CD and book covers...
Christians works are to be seen in many art collections and sold to private collectors.
Recently he finished his biggest work for the lobby of the Barmenia Insurance Company, Wuppertal.
There are 6 catalogues available with his work since 1990.
Currently preparing: Art Karlsruhe (art fair). And a one man show in April 2010(with a new catalogue.):

To give a short answer: yes it was difficult, but on the other hand I have some experience with white since many years.....coming from Watercolor painting..using gouche or acrylics on top of the "too" much areas of watercolor was a good training...now with the oils it's a question of balancing...but mostly I work only with white textures first and add just a bit of indigo, yellow and blue to bring out what it's needed....Thanks for looking and writing such nice comments!
