Sahara (Dust Storm) by Roberto "ROY" Ercolino

Sahara (Dust Storm)

Mixed-media On Canvas 70x80 cm

Another painting from the realist serie...I guess the last one.
After the cold and wet "Calm...", the hot and dry "Sahara...". For those who missed my red. :))

Roberto, how can you do it, only you know, and I can only sense that YOU are the only one that can do it with this fullness of senses given to the viewer!
It's the blowing hot wind, the sand in our faces, and the blowing light that covers all landscape with such brightness that our eyes and "soul" must catch!!!
It's a masterpiece Roberto! For sure one of my favourites!

This was my goal: to capture the sense of dust and warm wind...I think that there is a very nice movement in it.
Thank you very much Luna!

Hi Roberto, another amazing painting, it really warms me( now the temperature outside is minus 10) not only physical but mental as well. The yellow light is so attractive that one wishes to penetrate through it.

Questo per me e il vero erotismo nella pittura... C'e ne molto da dire anche su questo tuo dipinto. This kind light is wormiest then all sunsets of the Heaven. Bravo Roberto! Compliments and Regards.:-)))

oh my, you finally put it on here. it is so amazing and though i have never been to the sahara, i have been in the desert during a dust storm and it is so real. but most of all this painting pulls you into it'self and scorches you yet leaving your eyes open to its incredible beauty. your realism is as good as your abstract for they all contain your soul. xxx

Well, this would have to be up there in my favourites of your work. The egyptian touch of subtlety is sublime. Your use of a warm palette is second to none. I love your gallery and this is a fantastic addition to it. Roberto, your glow is amazing to the eye. To see it for real would be a pleasure. Great soft movement, beautiful balance and just enough detail to have the viewer's eye wonder all around the composition. Congratulations.

Hi dear Ricky, yes, was not easy achieve the evanescence of the pyramid, but I think that is the strong point of the picture, the focus and the real meaning. It give a sense of mistery to the atmosphere and i'm happy that you noticed it.
Thank you very much!
yes I totally agree with you. It took a little time to see it but wow was it worth it. The pyromids have been a sours of mystery for 1000s of years and yor painting has captured this and I must say that it is my favorit I have seen and would enrich any room it is hung.

Roberto,

I must ask your forgiveness for I must say something over again exactly as I did before…

“There are but a few words we possess but there are so many ways to combine them. An artist has but a few primary colors to works from, yet there are so many ways to mix them. Thoughts and feelings combine thru strokes of color and the imagination is stimulated once again. When the words are combined with the music an artist sings a song for all to see and hear. But is it really so different this work of yours. For if you are following the concept of form follows function in this new technique then you have embarked upon what we all strive for a renewed vision in our work. There is evidence that you possess a visual vocabulary and it springs from your imagination here as it has from all of the work you have shared with us. This work is more of the earth in its color than the more stellar compositions and their bold and vivid colors. I see a sojourn thru the previous compositions as you break thru their inner emotions and arrive here. It also shows that you are maturing and this series, if it becomes one, will follow in the great traditions you are reaching for – BRAVO…”

Here you have returned to your previous colors. For those of us who have missed your Red (forgive me for making you wait for the art store to get more red as I took some from your box – LOL) and those who will now have a chance to own a Red themed Roberto “Roy “ Ercolino this is going to be another sought after work.

I envy you Roberto, for as these are born in your soul and your imagination you have a gift to be able to bring them to life on your canvas with such a moving and powerful artistic way. So again Roberto – BRAVO, may you continue to be blessed in your life and art.

Steven, as Always your comments are a poem for me...
You're righ, colors are like words for a writer or notes for a composer; for this sometimes i see paintings like symphony.
About your words on this painting and my soul, i must only say THANK YOU Steven, thank you for your support that, you don't know, but inspire me very very much! So don't stop and continue to steal the colors in my box, you are always the most welcome! :)))
