It's like an alien landscape with an alien device, and the child is saying "hey mum look at that!", while the mum is a bit apprehensive. A tribute to the curiosity of children. Reminds me of some of Dali's works. Nice painting Geoffrey!

Wow, that is me over there and my son. I'm a little bit suspicious with the alien, but my son certainly wants to "try out" everything. :-) Hope everything would be all right... But how did we get to this strange place??? Life is amazing and your painting is also.

hi beata, thanks,it has been an ongoing development,of alien life forms, that started at a very early age...The million dollar question for me is GOD,created man,in his own image, and its been an endless search,imaginativley...to create MY, GOD....

Hi Prof, love the swept away sand where the spaceship has swooped in for landing. It reminds me of a beached whale. Fantastic creatures. I see the image of your alien in the tail. Love the smooth sleek lines of the ship. And the metal has an unusual alien look about it. I think it was in "Project Blue Book" where I read about the strange metal of spaceships purportedly landing in the U.S. This spaceship of yours certainly does project materials of an alien like substance. Like this one very much Prof. xxx Paula

thanks,yeah,its great...looks like a space zeppelin,its only a quickie,first study,but it really means a lot to me...my whole artistic cause is leading me through unknown territory,constantly re'creating,reforming,nuturing...what it really,is all about...the universe,life etc...

wow i have missed you!! i love your strange creature and it looks peaceful to me......like it's not going to hurt anyone but also doesn't want to be bothered unless it asks. similar to the attitude of a cat. anyway, i ramble. love it and it's clever and beautiful.

thanks, you can ramble as much as you want...your description of,a cat...is puurrrrrfect.....

I think you have visited the planet Arakas "DUNE" one to many times and have taken too much of the spice - LOL. Thanks for sharing another one of your earlier works Geoffrey. The story here is remarkable again as the figures add such a peace to the composition. And by the way I really like the new photo...!!!

thanks, the cosmos is a pretty big place,my mind travels fast, but could be better...the foto is my fast, slow moving habits, exactly the same as a mollusc....

fantastic, very creative, doesn't look like a ship to me, looks like a creature, like a dolphin or whale, love the color and the depth is great. reminded me of that movie I saw about a strange worm tunneling in the desert. like the figures showing curiousness of child and anxiousness of mother. 5******

thanks, yeah i think i might have seen that film,at one stage, somewhere, sometime,on this planet....i like to think of it as a giant nose, sniffing, searching, poking, and leading it's way round the universe,discovering...things...

This is wonderful dear Geoff,it does look like a giant nose, but I see an embryo in the tail end,New planet, new life.Maybe the alien is looking for somewhere safe to have it's baby.warm hugs my friend.Hazel

Artist Statement
for Geoffrey Cervantes.
Geoffrey Cervantes.Born,Brighton.UK.1952.At the age of 12 my father took me to the Brighton Museum, where I saw,for the first time, works by Dalí and Magritte...I new then, that I had to create and express myself through art.As if destined,my Art teacher,Mr Gordon Faulkner, was a Dalí lookalike...moustache as well...I was definatley off,to a good start.I´ve been studying, developing and painting ever since.I consider myself a 'Free Flow' artist, painting my thoughts, feelings and personality in my work.In 1996 I was diagnosed as having Multiple Sclerosis,at the moment I am confined to a wheelchair and painting with left hand.Although my production rate has slowed, technique has changed,my need to create artwork will never diminish.Contact geoff69@hotmail.es or www.artmajeur.com/axis
