I must say Victor Vasarely, Joseph Albers and William Libby now hold back seats to the wonderful balance in color here. The delicate nature of the brushwork adds to the overall composition. The delicate hint of the abstraction announces itself in a very dynamic way. I am intrigued by the rendering and the well placed yet very suggestive brushwork. Yep I like it…!!!!!!

Artist Statement
for Janet Summers
Janet SummersI paint what I love - Art is love made visable. I beleive a work of art should be so beautiful that one will never tire of looking at it. No enigmas, no politics, not shocking or abrasive but pure pleasure, a feast for the eyes. Art was given to mankind as a therapy for the soul, for the viewer as well as the creator. I paint for the joy of the painting and am always looking for a new challenge which nature never fails to present me with. All of my works are created from life and no photographic means are used to obtain my images. Art for arts sake, traditional classical, timeless. All of my works are for sale.
