Longe de mim pensar que Deus teria bitolas para priveligiar os seus ^Filhos. Acho que no fundo somos todos privilegiados, cada um no seu mister, mas não acha que os Artistas têm mais alguma coisinha? E não me refiro só aos pintores- os músicos, os poetas, os escritores, os artesãos, sei lá. De onde nos vem esta vontade enorme de nos encontrarmos com a Arte? De onde nos chega a inspiração? Porquê uns de nós são capazes de passar para a tela as suas emoções mais profundas e transmiti-las ao seu semelhante e outros não o conseguem? Debato-me imenso com estes problemas, mas, como cristã e crente, creio que Ele nos ama a todos ~, mas chama mais uns do que outros a continuar na Terra o caminho que Ele começou. Isto dá para uma grande discussão.Penso que poderemos encontrar-nos em Lisboa quando aí tiver que ir com a nossa amiga Valerie Curtiss, que chega agora no dia 25 de Fevereiro ao Porto e vai ficar alojada na minha casa. Artist Statement
for Luis Nogueira

Portugal

I paint because I enjoy and I love it, I don't do it for a living, but I have sold many.
I belive everyone can create art, but not everyone wants to!
Born in Lisbon, Portugal, paint my first oil painting at age 13.
I attended for three years the couse "Design and Decoration" of the Foundation Ricardo Espirito Santo, in Lisbon, Portugal.
Fascinated by flight, I was part of the Portuguese Air Force and then the Commercial Aviation. I tried always reconcile work with the arts; I dedicate myself to the movies and amateur photography.
I attended two years course on "Improving the Design and Techniques of Painting" and three year on "Contemporary Paintings and Mix Media" on a art school.
At present time I joined the Portuguese Fine-Art Academy in Lisbon, and I have my own studio.
All helpful and honest criticism is welcomed and appreciated.
