Paul Nodwell is a landscape architect and artist living in Toronto.
Working in both watercolour and acrylic, Paul searches out his subjects primarily from the stern seat of his beloved canoe. For over 15 years, Paul has ventured into the northern Ontario wilderness with an underlying passion for trying to capture the spirit of place.
His efforts are not focused on the creation of eidetic images but rather the capture of the underlying structure and surprising simplicity of the natural landscape.
Paul’s work is both graphic and interpretive and celebrates the vastness of the Canadian landscape as well as the wonder of details that are often lost in the ‘noise’.
