help, my comment disappeared????I praised your soft and tender portrait...thinking myself into the situation arriving in a big town and having a cab as kind of castel, before one is open to all the new impressions in such a huge city...I also found and expressed that you are working with less outlining and a softer painterly execution of the color patches and transitions...almost abstract background and an expression of feeling between jetleg and curious what might come in the next days....Love your stile Varvara

I love reading all the comments.... we artists have some serious imaginations don't we? Well and so I imagine she's not really looking at anything purposfully...she's remembering something that, according to her expression, was not a bad nor a sad event necessarily. Let's see, she's ina cab. Well then, she's likely heading back to the airport or train station to go back home. She's just left the company of family and friends as she's dressed nicely as one having come for a brief weekend visit. She wanted to look good and she does. Afterall, "he" was there. And now, she will refelct on her cab ride of the events of the weekend while the warm light filters into the cab... and she's warmed by it... it's okay... and it's a nice day... and maybe she will see "him" again. Whew..... all that from this beautiful painting. ;-)

Hello Varvara, The lady is a wonderful example of someone in deep contemplation over someone else. Her eyes are reflecting despair and it is as though she needs to make a decision. The portrait is very well portrayed and the colours for her features determine her expression well, exasperation!.Her cardigan is a warm colour that compliments the lighter tones and shades of the background, giving the appearance of being inside a cab! The dark outline of the interior of the cab, and her hair compliment each other, and it gives one the impression of being inside a cab! Well done! Lovely Composition. 5***** Regards Angela

Very beautiful face of the model, she is thinking a lot and she doesn't pay attention to surroudings, perhaps cab driver closely watching her from inside mirror how angry or sad she is. Beautufully painted within your great artistic style, fantastic color palette! 5+++++.
