
Born in Tulsa Oklahoma 1949, started painting at an early age, with no formal training. Hightower works in oil, acrylic, ink, watercolor, and pencil. In addition to his Western work, he has created a series of oil paintings, illustrations to the Old and New Testaments. He and his wife Teresa installed these paintings on a rotating basis in churches in their home area, free of charge.
I also played drums professionaly for 33 years. Played the Dallas Ft. Worth area, Houston, Waco and all over Oklahoma, Started playing in Arizona at age 14, in "64 we cut 4 singles on the Pride label. Worked with Charlie Pride, Johnnie Lee Wills, Billy Parker, at Cain's Ballroom, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
