Thank you,Vivian, what a wonderful comment. Painting fruit can be a very sensual thing to do,
especially peaches, they are so voluptuous and female.LOL

Artist Statement
for Nadine Dennis
Nadine DennisHello to anyone visiting me on "Paintings I Love". I am from Toronto,Ontario, Canada. I studied art at the Ontario College of Art and York University.I believe that my somewhat whimsical style is attributed to my over-active imagination and a curiosity about the interplay of light and shadow on shapes, colours and surfaces. I'm not sure why the faeries are so prevalent in my life but they do seem to be leading me on a creative path and I am delighted to follow them.
I have created several large paintings using acrylic on canvas but I have just reintroduced oil paint into my life so I hope to reinvent myself to some extent, with oils.
The smaller works are in watercolour, which I love, or pen and ink with gouache.
I have exhibited my work in Toronto since 1994 but not often enough.

I am presently collaborating on and illustrating a wine book, that has become a total labour of love, and I hope it will be finished sometime this year.
I am so happy to have found paintingsilove.com and I know that the other artists and their artwork will influence and assist me to achive my goals. What a wonderful support.

Cheers, Nadine
