Thanks for the kind words, I have surely missed my friends and love to you too. You are not only an original artist, and an inspiration but you seem to know just when I need that CONNECTION.
It is even better now. I had asked some very simple questions of artists' work that contained technical questions. They were generously answered and these simple questions and answers brought me immediate satisfaction. Like yourself, Antonino, Brian Pier and Hible. I don't think there is a place in the world where once I figured out how to ask the questions they were so generously shared, Bros.
Thanks Roy, At least from outer space it looks O.K. Bros. I did tweak it a bit. I am trying to slow down to the point where I am not in such a rush to start new work. I have about three that I work on at a time I am sure you know what I mean.
I remember the name of one of the space probes was called the Galileo and the newer one, I forget but it too was a beautiful name and what a job it did. I am sure it is still out there somewhere. I bet you would enjoy a small studio on board for some pleine-aire painting. LOL
Well its a long story...but we are well and the kids are well and happy ...main thing....Daves dad died in February ...that was a very sad time...wonderful bloke he was....and we just keep working hard and look after each other best we can......my painting is erratic at the best of times and I swing between portraits and abstracts....I keep learning and have exhibited quite a lot...so we're all good here Rick...thank you for asking...I know you have had it tough...I gotta say though....man you have so much talent...love your work ...so pleased to see you xxx
Thanks Brian You have no idea how much you taught me. Surely it is my kind of subject matter but it wouldn't be where it is without your patience, suggestions and tips. Besides I love your stuff, you are a good pal, thanks.
Hi Rick, hope all is well. Very artistic portrait, love the free style to it the colours are very warm and nice, great brush work he looks very much like his dad. Great work good to see you, Steve
Thanks Steve, I will always remember you stuck out your friendly western handshake when I first joined and have bee a constant and dear friend since then. In fact, all you Hightowers.
wow my main man. Funny as I am looking at the painting on my wall and it is in a slightly different place a better place. It certainly looks just like him. I am at the same crossroads by merely starting that other painting with which you kindly helped me with. In that painting I have been introduced to a new set of problems about creating depth and distances, you are a remarkable fellow and i will send you some progress pics of both of those pieces. Actually was lucky enough to have a facebook conversation with Eric Fischl who was surprisingly accessible, intuitive and intelligent in regard to our comments back and forth. Kinda like you. so I will try to send you those progressed pics soon. But thanks you had promised me once we were friends for life and no matter how literally I take it , there it is.
