Artist Statement
for Valerie Curtiss
Valerie CurtissValerie is a self-taught artist, author, writer and photographer, Valerie was born in England, but is now living and working in NW Montana. With no formal training, she learned to paint by copying her favorite paintings. Just recently she has been studying with Leonid Afremov. She says "I love to use lots of paint and lots of color. She will never forget her visit to Isaura, near Porto, and having the privilege of living with her beautiful paintings, and filling her heart with the warmth of the Portuguese soul and her stomach with the wonderful Portuguese food!
