Artist Statement
for Marcia Peterson

I'm a self-taught artist. I've just begun exploring acrylics. I've formal training in accounting and business, with an MBA in Entrepreneurship. I spent most of the past 30 years doing corporate accounting, immersed in my career.
It might as well have been a knock in the head for all it's worth. I picked up a paintbrush in March of this year and started painting.I don't know why I had to paint, but I had to paint.
It's July, I've painted nearly every day since I started and can't believe what is happening.
I am in heaven when I paint. I love color. Thanks for taking the time to read my story and look at my paintings. Thank you to my fellow artists here on PIL who encourage and inspire me.
