Refuge
This beautiful German designed church is based on a Chruch in Namibia. It is practically built on the rock with the sea in the distance. Due to the message that 'the Church' sends out to the world I have tried to use a lot of light in the painting, enough to light up the sky and its surrounding area - and to light up as in the spiritual sense of the word. The little cross on top of the Church is of course the most meaningfull symbol of all. I give thanks!

Artist Statement
for Caroline Street
for Caroline Street
I am an artist from South Africa. I live very close to the Kruger National Park so I am influenced mainly by wildlife, my environment and the African people. I also love color, design and world history. I have been painting forever it seems and have sold my work locally and internationally. My main medium is oils which I call the living paint, every now and then I do some acrylic work as well. I really enjoy being on PIL, lots of great artists - everyone has something to different to offer. I very often just sit at the computer and look at the art and by so doing gain inspiration.
Art is joy! To those who look at and comment on my work, I say thank you for your time and I am grateful for your comments, suggestions, critique etc.
