Dear Karen, In this group I want the painting to be red more than half of the surface of the canvas.
Or the main subject (like flower, dress, hat, whatever) can be completely red and the surrounding not being relevant (one minor color). Your painting is too yellowish to meet these requirements.

Don’t hesitate to come back if you have a more red painting.

Best regards, Ruby

Artist Statement
for Karen Murray
Karen MurrayI have never studied art but always enjoyed drawing, it is a hobby and a continual learning curve. I currently work within a well established Breast Cancer Research Group, based in Dundee.
I draw in my spare time, usually night time when my 4 year old daughter is asleep. I plan to try and add colour to my drawings to see what transpires. I would appreciate any suggestions as how to better my drawings and as to which is the next best medium to work with. Please be patient with my watercolour painting as I do struggle with it, infact it is becoming my nemesis, but I will persevere! All your comments have been wonderful and the support here is fantastic. Thank you all very much. There are so many talented artists here, that I do not feel...
I loved painting this pic I let the paint flow along with the tears. Have you painted a place that reminds you of a lost loved one?
If ever a painting merited the description "Mystic River" or "Still Waters" this does. Beautiful colour palette and a a loose unstructered flow. Magical and... view answer
