for Tony Stubbs
Tony StubbsRapidly approaching 70, but still working part time as lecturer(electronic engineering), working part time does give me more time to pursue my interests. I have no real formal training , but copious encouragement by inspiring art teacher has has kept me motivated even after over fifty years!
I like to work in many mediums, acrylic, watercolour, pastel, ink, pencil, coloured pencil, charcoal etc and sometimes experiment with mixing media with various degrees of success.
I am now trying to escape from the tight painting style that I have been used to doing, examples of which are seen here and have been experimenting with a looser style and using mixed media, its good fun, though not always successful!

I often tried to portray my son in the last time and I find it very difficult as he is in his early teen years. he is not a child anymore, nor does he look...
Love this work...colours expression well captured! Into my favs. As for your question yes... it is difficult because of 2 things..painting someone close to you... view answer
