I love the hard lines in the background and then the way you overlay the delicate soft flowing ones on top - the colours are beautiful - how lovely this is dedicated to your daughter and has her personality in it - I can see that... she is beautiful and strong at the same time like this painting! What is your trick for getting likenesses when doing portraits. Anything that I can glean from you expert portraitists would be very beneficial?
Personally, I find the "usual" drawing books etc. boring... however, what really helps with getting the proportions right is the grid method... you print out... view answer
