Kirsten! I haven't seen you on here or fb in a while. I was hoping all was okay. I LOVE this little guy! So sweet and full of personality. Just noticed how he is popping out of the frame too - perfect touch! Love!

Artist Statement
for Kirsten Mellissa
Kirsten MellissaSome ask, why do you paint? I answer, why do you eat? :)
What a fabulous life. I get to live in a world of imagination and color!
I am a self taught artist and just recently began painting after taking a ten year break. I'm a bit rusty but hoping with practice, patience, and the kindness of the Blue Fairy I'll become a real artist :)
I have mixed feelings about using a homeless person as a subject. I want to treat them respectfully, whats the feeling here?
I think this painting is highly respectful Julian, you have shown by his eyes that he is still a person with hopes and dreams...I would guess that he would be... view answer
