Born in Kidderminster Worcestershire England in 1946.
I attended Stourbridge Art School from the age of 13, studying Glass design, lithography, pottery and painting.
Later I studied textile design then worked as a carpet designer in England, before winning a Royal Society of Arts Bursary in 1970, which allowed me to study Central American Art in Mexico City in 1971. I spent a short time in Los Angeles later the same year before moving to Australia in the November as a carpet designer where I worked in Melbourne. I moved to Sydney where I met my wife Diane in 1976 and have lived there ever since.
