Wow this is great! Love the wood on the boats, you did such a good job on them. Reminds me of the coast up at Prince Edward Island, the western part. Excellent work!

wonderful painting. I love the crisp colour in the boats and the way you did the cliffs with a bit of the same colour and the mist in the water and rocks in the back. Wonderful painting and thanks for sharing

wonderful painting, love the textures of the sand and rocks, and the beautiful transparency of your colors, did you use many glazes here ?

Thank you Isabelle, yes I had to use glazes on the cliffs and the sky to get the colours about right ,
I have just read an article by an art tutor who states that 'if you get the colour right first time then there is no need for glazes' oops! bottom of the class for me :)

for Bill Dennis
Bill DennisBorn in England I moved to Australia in 82 , I didn't start to paint until I retired at the end of 2009,now I will paint anything that takes my fancy as long as it challenges me in some way, I enjoy painting and if anyone likes them its a bonus.
This site gave me confidence to show my work in exhibitions and the feedback from artists from all over the world is wonderful,long may it continue,

I find that at the moment I seem to be painting a lot of different subjects, anybody else have this problem ? if it is a problem !!. LOL.
I don't think this is a problem although I am told that I should be known for something and stick to it. Then painting would seem like work. I like to go... view answer
