Paul your comment has knocked me for six - i do like this one its one of my favourites - I cant seem to get away from drawing female faces - i wonder if this is my niche and I should have lessons to bring out my style further... what are your thoughts?
apologies for the delay, those were the days when we had no feedback to comments on comments!!
Do whatever you enjoy, just keep drawing, try different medium, charcoal, acrylic even oils, water colour, just play, experiment, I am self taught, the more you do the better, if you think you need additional guidance join a class, or you can always ask here, we are here to help ;0) Paul
thanks heaps for yuor commend - I really like this one myself - I just felt alive and fluid when drawing it - i like that my imagination has been sparked and I can actually draw things from the head - its so hard to do but when it works i feel really proud - still a beginner but finally happy with what I am trying to do
thanks Geoffrey for your words - I am on the verge of summoning up the courage to prepare it as a painting - once completed I will load for your comments - not sure of the colours for the faces though - I should take a leaf from Robert Doesburg and follow his love and talent in colour - have a great day Geoffrey
Wow... came across this drawing of yours! It is really fantastic! Very beautiful... and the angle is very interesting!!!!
And than you for your kind comment :)
thanks yaya I just wanted it kind of reflect a face or faces (as it turned out) as if you were looking in a hand held mirror and the angle seem to work. I really like working with pencil - its easy to do as the only time I get chance to be free is on the train on my way home from work- its pure escapism and I find that the faces always seem to come to me in 3's ---
another one that just came to me - tried to portray a looking glass mirror effect. I do tend to draw more than i paint as i can doodle and sketch on the train going home and i just destress from my office job - thanks you so much for your very positive comments - very much appreciated
love necks on bottles and women the way they curve but are straight at the same time - didnt plan on this those they just happened - i really like this not thinking about or planning what you draw or paint - is quite liberating. thanks to all the inspiration and feedback from yourself and the others - love how we all feed off each other somehow -- have an amazing day with a weekend to come -
love curves and waves and the softness they portray like the idea that one can try and paint this way - glad you like the title - hope you are having an amazing weekend - take care and cant wait for more of your inspirational work - i am going to try abstracts this weekend
yes this is supposed to be a view into a hand held looking glass (a bit like mirror mirror on the wall whos the fairest of them all!!!) glad you like it and that it means different things to others
This confuses me because the other piece I commented on didn't have these same darker tones? I see a slight different investment presenting outer reflections versus inner... Hope that has meaning that isn't mean?
its the same one - not sure whey he would seem darker in tones- is it because its the avatar? what you said is so correcti am still a beginner and as you say they look like they are out of the mirror as opposed to INSIDE it as a reflection... it wasnt supposed to be a reality thing however its just what i had in mind when drawing it
Beautiful title and a fab composition Jules and I love your long necks...x I love the expressive eyes they are so well done... I agree with Geoff This would be a great painting...5***** Thankyou for your lovely comments very much appreciated...: )xxx

thankyou beautiful Doris - when i look i see my self as the one on the right - it has a likeness of me - the other faces are what i want to be perhaps????
Sandra the comments are so uplifting and inspire me to go on and try not to act like a beginner but be proud of where i am no - need to step out of the comfort zone and try harder
the angle and vision all come from within - i like drawing this way - its freer not as structured but i am still not flowing enough with creativity - no doubt it will come in time
Jules... Your detail to your creativity is beautiful ~ it shows your passion and talent in art.. I look forward to seeing more and getting to know you... smiles to you:)
thanks Chrisann - the passion overwhelms me so much some times and other times its like i am stuck and want to do something but dont know what - i will try and produce more - and love and kisses to you also - like your positive smiles xxxx

thanks Kenneth - i must admit i love painting /drawing women and their face/neck areas - my love of ballet as a child maybe (not that i ever danced ballet)
heh Wolfman - love the name - yep i really enjoyed this one - the shading came about as i had bought some new graphite pencils - they are so smooth to use -
Thanks Ray - I wanted to try and portray a looking glass image of one person reflected as three - must admit i love the sketching the long necks - my pencil just seems to flow that way
