Owl number 1

Little obsessed with owls at the moment .....so this is number one, this has been painted ver an abstract I did .....I have another in the process at the moment, I have so many beautiful pics of owls now....I think there could be a few more!!!

Isn't this WONDERFUL!! Just looook at this!! It looks as if it might've been painted on the bark of a fine, old cedar - or, maybe a hemlock - it's sooo rich with with texture, texture, texture!! Such a BEAUTY!!Bravoooo!! LOVE this!! Hugs

I can understand your desire to paint owls, they are so uniquely gorgeous, they are birds with cat eyes! I love her/him, not only because his/her cuteness afront a great background, but this one looks serious and deadpan amused at the same time!

Yes that's so right.....it's those yes.....the. Ext one I am doing really concentrates in the eyes too.....have so many pics...there really are so many varieties too...thank you so much for your comment, love your painting xxx

Jules I agree with you, those EYES are sublime! It is the only bird that has eyes frontal like humans and like cats, all the other birds have their eyes on the side of their skulls and they are usually brown with no visible iris, except some kind of parrots. Owls have extraordinary eyes so much like cats, I can't wait for your NEXT one!

JulesI love to create.......to get messy......to immerse myself in my work......to be part of it.......I have trouble with cohesiveness......because I have so many ideas .....so much to discover....to stick to one subject matter......well.....its just not possible at this point...

What do you think of art classes using other peoples work for teaching, is it a good idea to see how other artist form paintings or should they try to be...
