Lydia;
Your work is awe inspiring. The contrast of light and dark gives focus to your subjects....and you have found naturally occuring subjects that in their own right are in fact abstractions. Have you ever thought of working in encaustic? Look up Tony Sherman...he too captures the same sense but encaustic gives his work an uncanny three dimensional quality. FANTASTIC!

I love the colour. It projects lots of heat. Would look great on a wall.

This is the most dramatic image of fire I've ever seen! Really love the movement of the flames (I've never wanted to back away from a painting before)! Fantastic work Lydia!

Do you think adding the lyrics of the song the painting has been titled after in the description will add anything to the overall presentation of my rock star...
Fantastic portrait Marty, love the tone & lighting and nice clean lines. I have seen artists add the lyrics to their paintings adding texture but I could also... view answer
