Wow! What a picture. Fantastic use of colors. Using so many colors could go wrong, but not here. You have used them in such. Way that it all seems totally natural. Great details and water reflections. All in all a brilliant and excellent work.

Jean-Marc, It is Ann again..asking a favor of you. You may recall I asked your permission to paint your "Cottage of sunflowers." Graciously you gave me permission and I posted it on this site. You may have given it a look..I know it was a pitiful replicate of your brilliant painting but I had to give it a try. I started art lessons last week and I am to do a drawing of a landscape as drawing is my weakest weakness, along with color theory...and on and on...Ha. To get to the point may I try this most beautiful painting? of course if it makes it to the painting stage and I feel comfortable posting it I would do the same as before, giving you all the credit and acknowledgment for your permission to paint. I have asked you again to paint one of your paintings as I think your paintings are so beautiful and such a challenge for me. I seriously doubt anyone will see any similarity between what I paint and the beauty of your paintings. This is so beautiful, I love your colors and reflections and depth. I am so captivated! I just love looking at it. Respectfully, Ann

How would you tackle a project such as this when it is a commission for someone to give to someone else - a close relative when their child has recently died?
What a beautiful job Christine! She looks happy and radiant. I am sure the parents would want to remember her that way. I too have just completed one... view answer
