I can definitely see the emotion in this painting. For me, the colour of emotional pain is definitely black. Every transgression can be forgiven if you ask for forgiveness, Jesus paid the price in full.

Beautifully painted Adzee. The question sounds like one he asked in the movie patriot.

Hello Merle
Thank you so much, I have never seen the film Patriot I must admit .When I was thinking of the question the first thing that come to my mind was his addiction to alcohol and what happens when people sober up and reality dawns upon them. The pains which they must feel, hence the colour of the pain.

your portraits ate amazing...

I could think about your questions for a long time.... I get migraines and they are very colorful... a light show of color.. psychic pain to me is just dark.... in January-feb I had the flu and respiratory failure... I was on multiple antibiotics, when they started running them starting from the right things would start to pixilate - very electrical appearing,,, I could hardly breath and my heart rate dropped to the 30s, couldn't tell if I was going to be able to take another breath,,, I think it was more terror than pain.. but when you say what color.. I think of this pixilated electric vision.....
part 2 of the question.. yes.

Hi Cindy,

In durance of pain is thread of human survival,I guess with your comments I understand your artwork much better. Your artwork is so dreamy, it reminds in parts the work of kahlil gibran artwork, I guess you need to be in a certain state of mind to conjure up those image it is that sword of Damocles. I hope you are getting well, hopes are wishes and wishes are dreams and they do come true sometimes.

.You have achieved it again in the style you have used for Mel Gibsons portrait its superb love the black backdrop.I see the colours of pain deep red and very dark blue.Of cause you can Ive am just recovering from a very bad case of Shingles the pain was awful so that is why these colours are still in my head take care M

Hello Maureen,
A famous photographer once said:
When you photograph people in color, you photograph their clothes. But when you photograph people in Black and white, you photograph their souls!
Ted Grant
I guess thats why I have the tendency to like the colour black, with touch of colour. To me the colour of pain is red, the open wound in in the heart which just bleeds droplets.

Adzee great information you have shared and it does make sense. When I paint in black and white I always feel the need to use a small amount of red take care

Such great likeness! I guess it depends on the transgression, and the reason for not remembering, human speaking. God and his Son, gave so much that our sins may be forgiven, so we all should be more like them, huh?

Hello Mickey-Sue,

Thank you so much so glad that you like it, forgiveness requires a moral compass not all of us have that within us, hate can cloud our judgement and emotions play their own part for the ultimate out come.

Artist Statement
for Adzee
AdzeeWhat is Art? And how do you define it!
Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder.

I guess my response to those comments, to show that we all have a dormant artist in us all. My retort, became my love and opened my eyes to the beauty that is all around us if we only take time to look. From the falling petal from a rose, to a performance from a great actor to the smiling face of a child. We see these images with our eyes, which are then engrained on our heart forever more.

Thank you for taking time to look at my work. I hope my work inspires you as much as your work inspires me.

Don’t be a stranger, visit me some time.
Commission’s work welcomed, all artwork is for sale.
