I took a beautiful pic of a cactus flower the other day - cactuses do have the most amazing short-lived flowers. Love your painting of this flower with the little bees happily gathering nectar.

Artist Statement
for Nancy L Jolicoeur
Nancy L JolicoeurI'm a self taught, New Oil Painting Artist of about 1 year now and love it. I love to let my creativity flow. I have done about 5 or 6 watercolor paintings back in about 2006.
However, I started oil painting with my Sister over the phone. We did this because of her husbands illness and her being confined at home with him. And than we would e-mail pictures back and forth to each other.
I Never dreamed I would get so caught up in painting like this. Your in a world of your own and the time just flies by. I have also used painting as a stress reliever.
I get so excited about painting, I Love it.

I have noticed PopArt seems to get less comments than other forms of art, is it because it is thought of as a 60's thing or is there another reason?
HI Graham I am a fan of pop art so I really love this one , love the person leaning over to get what's needed on a hot summer's day , money for ice cream .. I... view answer
