Question

My 3 year old chose her, and called her "Red". lol......who needs to think? Just get the 3 year old to do all of the thinking!
Art shows are all starting up again now here in Melbourne, so this is my entry to the next local one.
I loved doing her.......I love classical nudes. Hopefully a few more to come.
Tkae care everyone. kindly Karina xx

Hey Karina, I'm so glad you're back on this site, you really are such a talented artist and I'm stoked you're sharing your awesome work with us again. This is a great drawing, lovely pose and expression on her face, good skin tones, nice long flowing hair and the folds and creases in that silky looking sheet are brilliant! Looks like you just might have a three year old artistic genius on your hands giving this such a fitting title. Good luck with this in the art show too.

Hi marty..lol, Hudson is my life as we all know. he seems to have a very strane intuition for beauty and often tells me what is wrong with the drawings as I go along...very spooky and mature for his age.....you could be right! I never though of it that way, just that we were so bonded that he had an innate respect for it all. love to you Mart.be good! kindly K xxxxx

Karina,

Red is Stunner! She is gorgeous and has real depth! The wavy hair, and folds of the satin sheet are glorious! A wonderful pose! The contours, form exquisite! I like how near the bottom edge the red fades to white! And all the nuances, shading, color work of her skin is unbelievable, but their it is! You did it, and should be proud, you are so very talented! :) I believe you should be the one opening the art gallery if you haven't done so already! Red is a classic, a winner already! And, Good luck at the art show! Looking forward for more to come!

Awww, TABm no no gallery for me!! I work from an old shoddy desk in my kitchen which has terrible light and pretty much notset up right for peace and meditation! Pencils everywhere and constant worry of the 3 year old playing with them (which he never has!), so no, I'm far from professional, and don; have enough work either for a showing as such.....what I have done has gone to a ne home being portraits for others, so not much left here really..I draw when and how I can.......and don;t really get too much done! one day, maybe, a gallery space......like you, it is a hope for me......and a nice thought. hugs to you dearest TAB, and thank you always for your wonderful words, I appreciate them incredibly. xx

Artist Statement
for Karina Griffiths
Karina GriffithsSometimes I wonder how we as such feeling and emotional beings live without a soul mate, or a couple of good friends, or a family that will always accept us for no matter who we are or choose to be. But then I really wonder if the happiness we need to attract all of these essentials into our lives is a result of pursuing something innate within us that makes us happy to the core. And then we are content and attractive to those around us. I cannot express how happy I feel when I draw. I get transported into a timeless womb, where my eyes and hands talk without words, caressing the subject matter and in some ways, translating it into my own language so that I can tell others how something makes me feel when I see it. It is a compulsion. And...
I have a great problem with prospective so it takes ages get it right or nearly right does this happen to any of you wonderful artist ?
