This place where you would like to be looks like Samos! I will have broad band next week and will sign in to facebook then so we can communicate better. Try leaving some white of the paper in your sky and in general all whites in watercolor are the white of the paper, and leaving some whites gives the work a point of reference for all other colors. So glad you like my work, I will try to help you become a master of watercolor! As for subject matter, I think setting up a stillife with controlled light (work same hours daily) would greatly improve your handling of this medium, it is much easier than working outdoors on a land scape..working from imagination only is OK, but you learn more when you try to capture light/shadow and form from a stillife. talk to you soon! Hi Chrisann, I think it is really hard to integrate floral and seascape and you have done a terrific job! Sometimes it looks like flowers and background were done by two different artists, but you maintain your style throughout. Beautifully done, and I love the soft colours of the flowers. Cheers from Mike

I love the colours in this panting. Look forward to seeing your parrot. Such exotic birds and fun if sometimes frustrating to paint. Hug Mike

One of my favourites. Thank you for comment on the angel. Hope you are having a pleasant weekend. We are experiencing absurdly high temperature and humidity for this time of the year. Bit of a worry. Hug Mike

Excellent Work !Chrisann.
I had a quick flick your "Lending a hand" group. I really like your Group requirement - that we can all learn and share. Now watercolours, Im working on two for Rickys TSX Group, and have to venture through all the marvellous paintings(water colours) in that group to glean - information - 20yrs on - Ive forgotten my own techniques and knowledge of the style. I dont think I really appreciated the style in my youth - I do to these days - however admire such talent. Wiil visit you in your group! cheers!
