Nancy its lovely! Beautiful painting for Christmas! Loved the colors. I suggested my daughter to draw this with Rangoli (colored lime stone powder spread evenly on designs drawn on ground) in her convent school during Christmas.

Isn't this just wonderful Nancy. You must have felt so good painting this work. It's joyful colours and humble figures looking over this beautiful baby. A treasure

Nancy Raz"Practice makes Perfect."

I was born with a pencil. I enjoyed drawing and coloring and doodled a lot when I was a kid. It was a hobby then, however , pursued a career in banking after College, got married and became busy raising my kids. I started reconnecting to drawing when i had to take a 6 month leave due to sickness. While going through chemotherapy, I drew during my low days and these surely helped me a lot. YEs, I am happy to be a cancer survivor.. :-) I went back to work shortly after my treatment and drawing was parked again...until late in 2011 when I was inspired by a Master Painter, who taught me the basic painting skills. From that time on, I was more encouraged to paint and accidentally I discovered PIL. ...
Is it really so hard to give substance in an abstract or it is just because is my first try? Any comments and suggestions much appreciated. Thanks so much!
You have done well, Christina with your first go. Like you I struggle free myself into abstract form and being human search for shapes/meaning in abstract... view answer
