Eskimo Mother and Child

Watercolor - My family is of the Eskimo culture - the village is located above the artic circle, on the northwest coast line. My mother was born in the village of Kiana. Kotzebue is the nearest "big" village.

Thank you Jules. I have longed to paint about my culture and can't seem to get them all on canvas as fast as I'd like to. there are times when I feel my pipes are going to burst because of the need to paint. Does that make sense?

I love this! This is precious and it reminds me of some book of art my mom has of Eskimos. I can't think of the artist's name. I am from Alaska, so I find Eskimo culture wonderful. :) Sometimes I think of drawing dog sleds or even a blanket toss.
