The Loneliness of the Stripper 2-... by Orly

The Loneliness of the Stripper 2- Eyes-Mirror of Soul

Another day...the same place...the same girl...
She has to dance again for those men without faces.
One night she discovered that she can dance without seeing them!
She locked herself inside-no feeling,no pain,just emptiness.
Dark ,empty eyes-dark soul...

I promised you a whole story of this girl so I'm trying my best! Probably i'll take some breaks on the way ,because painting it I started to feel what she feels and sometimes I feel very sad, too! So don't be surprised if one of the next day I'll paint a flower or who knows what!
Thank you my darling Alison!

Hi Orly, I'm beginning to wonder if you are working in a strip joint. I have to look around to see if you are there before I order my drink. ha
Very nice job and keep up the great work!

Hi,Wayne! Don't worry!You won't find me there!
I have a sort of "army" work! Everything I do is very well checked!I walk on a very straight line that I am not allowed to leave! The only extravagancy I can allow to myself is painting this sort of things and trying to live ,for a while, in imagination, their lives! and by the way, they should make a club with overaged strippers,soI can join them!As far as I know they love fresh ladies!

Hi Orly,as selfish as it may seem , I miss the happyness that vibrated from both you and your work. if you decide to paint a flower, fill it with rays of hope, respect Maurice

you have done a wonderful job of showing the dark side of humanity. who is to blame? not her...not men... just humanity's selfishness and self interest that drives people to need this. her sadness is all of our sadness and she could be a group, a city, a country.

Carol, wonderful words! It's exactly what I feel about this!We should look a little around! We should stop and think at least for an instant what is behind facts we consider obvious! There is always a story behind people ,and their actions !We should wake up and do something!
All my love to you,Carol!xxx

Very thought provoking work Orly, I look at so many things like this these days and it is sad what the world will settle for and go on as if it doesn't matter. If not touched by it personally we just put it out of our minds. I have 4 lovely daughters one son and 5 grandaughters so I look to God for his help and mercy. Very noteable work, Steve P.S. by the way the painting is also done very well.

Strippers lead an interesting life, I have met some from the top end of the industry to the average run of the mill business. It can be a bizarre lifestyle. Well executed . Great WORK!

Artist Statement
for Orly
OrlyI am a self taught painter.
Maybe painter is too much to say!
I have touched a brush and the colours first time (except the first years of school-when I was a disaster-my mother was doing my paintings) in June 2007 after I saw a wooden carpet of Kakadu, hand painted with beautiful colours.
I was raised in a jewish neighbourhood, my son is half greek,my whole life is a mixture of religions, colours, good and bad !All these and all the marks people who crossed my life left you will see in my work.
The place where I am from(and here I have to appologise to all the Romanian artists but this is the truth)doesn't offer too much beauty or happiness.
So I am looking for them in my painting and in yours, too.
