I love the way the ram sits on the watercolour paper making a very atmospheric sky background. The textural contrasts and colour of the animal is very appealing.

Hi Joy, a funny circumstance, when the lady came to collect it she saw two others she liked better. So even though it didn't sell I was pleased with the outcome. Glad you like it though x

I’m sure she’ll love it. Good illustrative work. Laurel

Strangely enough she didn't buy this one because she saw two others she liked. I didn't mind, it's better to sell two instead of one. Glad you like it though Laurel x

That is strange. People are fickle for sure. True it was better to sell two of them. Laurel

Artist Statement
for Graham Ibson
Graham IbsonI only started painting in 2010 after my retirement from the refrigeration trade. I hadn't picked up a paint brush until then and realised what I had been missing all those years. I was lucky to find a superb art teacher Carol Davidson who has taught me so much. My love is watercolour but I also tinker with acrilyic. I've been married to my lovely wife Linda for 50 years in 2018, and have two fantastic sons who all pushed me into painting. I have them to thank.

Is it important to you to share your art with others and if so, how do you react to people who do not like your work?
You need to be open, just like the art you produce. Anytime we open our works to integration...we are in the line of fire. But, hopefully in productive way.... view answer
